Love Island's Luca Bish and Andrew Le Page miss their beats during Britain Get Singing

‘They looked mortified’: Britain Get Singing fans went into hysterics after Love Island’s Luca Bish and Andrew Le Page suffered an embarrassing mistake during the group’s set

Stars from all sides of ITV flocked to the Britain Get Singing charity talent competition on Saturday night – including many from this year’s Love Island.

But it wasn’t easy for all the contestants, as Luca Bish and Andrew Le Page made a mistake by missing the beat of their songs during the festive performance.

Joining co-stars Antigoni Buxton, Paige Thorne, Tasha Ghouri and Danica Taylor for the singing performance, the duo looked a little lost as they struggled to keep up with the girls.

It didn’t go unnoticed by fans either, with many taking to social media to share their take on the moment – noting that the reality stars “looked mortified.”

The group took to the stage to sing their own version of George Michael’s Last Christmas, all sporting festive sets for the performance.

And while they got off to a strong start, the boys seemed to let the team down as they lost the song during the middle section.

Walking towards the front of the stage, Andrew stopped the music to wish the audience a Merry Christmas – before Luca looked confused by his speech.

The former fishmonger began singing, ‘I wrapped it up and sent it, with a note,’ before he and Andrew looked at each other uncertainly as they tried to follow the lyrics.

They tried to bring him back when Luca let out a smile, with judge Jason Manford helping them as he started to sing along and keep them on track.

Alesha Dixon was also on panel and started laughing at the mistake, before Antigoni took over for the boys with her section – leaving them with an awkward laugh.

The judges highlighted the moment after the performance when Jason said to Luca and Andrew, ‘Boys, honestly, there were times when I was watching you guys where I saw all the guys on a Friday night being forced to go upstairs and sing karaoke .

‘You know, being like ‘I don’t want to be here, but you know what? I will do it for you”

While spectators took to social media afterwards to share their own thoughts on the moment, as someone noticed that they looked “humiliated.”

“The Love Island boys looked terrified,” wrote one.

While another viewer advised: ‘Oh dear, what can I say. Stick to reality TV without singing #LoveIsland’

But despite being criticized for the mistake, many applauded the group for doing their part for mental health.

The show, which was won by Loose Women, supports ITV’s mental health campaign, Britain Get Talking.

And speaking about his own mental health during the show, Luca explained: ‘When I first spoke about my mental health, it helped a lot. Talking to my friends, I realized that they too were going through the same things I was and we just didn’t talk about it.

‘Doing something like that that I’m not comfortable with will show other guys that they can talk about their mental health with each other.’

Stars from shows such as Emmerdale, Coronation Street and The Chase appeared on the show to perform in the Christmas Eve special.
